Applying for a Full-time Higher Education course

All applications for full-time higher education courses need to be made through UCAS. You can still apply through UCAS after 13th January 2027 deadline, but any offers will be dependent on the number of spaces available.

Qualifications Explained & Entry Requirements

We offer a range of vocational courses from Level 1 through to Level 4, giving you clear progression routes to suit your goals and starting point.

At NKC Gravesend College, many of our students take part in specialist technical training. As these are often new subjects that you may not have studied before, you may be required to start at a lower level, such as Level 1 or Level 2.

This approach helps you build the essential skills and knowledge needed in your chosen trade, creating a strong foundation for future success. There are clear progression pathways available, allowing you to move on to higher-level courses, apprenticeships, or employment as you develop your skills.

Below, you’ll find a guide to what each qualification level means, along with typical entry requirements so you can find the right pathway for your future. Please note that specific course requirements may vary.

Admissions Interview and Course Offers

How will I know if I've been offered a place?

After your interview, we'll email you to let you know the outcome of your application.

Most offers are conditional on achieving the entry requirements for your chosen course. You'll need to bring your GCSE results with you when you enrol.

If your results are different from those you expected, don't worry. We'll discuss your options with you and help you find the most suitable course or progression pathway.

Financial Support and Bursaries

Can I get financial support while studying?

Yes. Financial support and bursaries are available for eligible students studying at NKC Gravesend College.

If you think you may qualify, we recommend applying as early as possible so your application can be assessed before enrolment.
